What is Reiki?
Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that brings the body and mind back into balance. It works on all levels - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual – regardless of age or state of health. Reiki encourages self-healing, and a Reiki treatment typically creates a feeling of relaxation, relief from pain, a reduction of stress or anxiety or expectations, and greater clarity. Reiki is a non-invasive, drug free way to help all living beings heal (including your pets). Reiki originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word Reiki, a Japanese term, means universal life energy.

How Does a Reiki Treatment Work?
During a Reiki treatment, the hands of a trained Reiki practitioner are lightly placed on a fully clothed recipient. The recipient may be seated or lying down. A treatment generally consists of hand placements that begin at the head, continue through the entire body, and end at the feet. The treatment itself usually lasts from 1 to 1 ½ hours. Some recipients feel warmth or tingling where the hands are placed, others feel subtle pulsations flowing through their bodies, and others don’t feel anything in particular – except they feel very relaxed afterward. The practitioner serves as a channel and only transmits the universal life energy. Thus this practice does not drain the practitioner, yet instead both giver and receiver are strengthened and enriched with energy.
The fee for a treatment is $70.

PET REIKI
Stress and anxiety can cause imbalance in our pets just as it can in our own bodies. And although Reiki is not a substitute for veterinary care, it is an excellent compliment to regular vet visits. A Reiki treatment for your pet will typically range between 20 – 30 minutes. The fee for a treatment is $45 plus a small travel fee.
